THE NEW STARS IN BRAZIL

On November 27 of 2003, the city of Curitiba, State of Parana, in the South of Brazil, , when the summer season is just about to start, the temperature will get higher there at CIRCULO MILITAR arena, when opening ceremony starts at, 20:30H (8:30pm). Because in the mentioned day above, K-1 Corporation, the biggest Martial Arts promotion in world will launch its New Generation of Fighting Event of MIXED MARTIAL ARTS, also known as Vale Tudo for many people around the world, but it is different; it is very new; it is totally sport.

K-1 Corporation in association with SERGIO BATARELLI PROMOTIONS has decided to launch officially their new fighting event in Brazil. Because the birthplace of this sport, and mainly, the roots of this sport, were born in Brazil, and we want to start this New Generation of MMA Fighting Sport Promotion there, to show to the fans around the world, our respect for the country who brought the sport to Japan and to the world.

The event in Brazil (we will promote at least four events in Brazil per year) will be "The gateway to success, in new generation of MMA in the world for young Brazilian fighters". In addition, "The winners may go to the MMA event in Japan".

The concept and the rules of the event will be the same for Japan or any other country.

K-1 MMA’s producer Sergio Batarelli elaborated the rules, and it rules will be apply in all K-1 MMA events around the world. Mr. Sergio Batarelli is in charge too, to conduct the rules meetings, and to approve referees and judges for those events, not only in Brazil, but also all over the world.
